A big shout out and thank you to a fellow light-obsessed decorator Mike Johnson who was a wealth of knowledge providing some great tips and recommendations. Check out his display Lights on Northlake. He also puts up an amazing display for Halloween called "Skeletons Park."
Also check out another local light enthusiast Broomfield Lights. They have a lot of great info on their website detailing their installation as well.

Anyone got suggestions for Squirrel abatement? I feel like Bill Murray in Caddy Shack trying to kill the gophers! The squirrels in my backyard bite the bulbs off of the light strings in my trees. Some of these trees are 20-30' tall, so once they sever a wire, I'm not climbing up there it repair it. They seem to think the bulbs are nuts as they even try to bury them in the ground (storing them for later I guess). I've tried spraying cayenne and white pepper and plastic hawk decoys, but nothing makes them go away!
